SPCC steel is produced by subjecting hot rolled steel to a cold rolling process. This involves passing the steel through the warehouse under queues, which not only improves its surface finish but also enhances its mechanical properties.

DC01, DC02, DC03, DC04, DC05, DC06 are steel grades of European standard DIN EN 10130, 10209 and DIN 1623, which are specified cold rolled steel. The grades are classified according to the maximum permissible yield strength.

Due to the hot roll process the surface on this steel will be rough when compared to cold rolled. ASTM A36 yield strength is also less than C1018.
