product description
Aluminum-iron alloys typically contain 40% to 60% aluminum. Traditional steelmaking often involves adding aluminum cakes or ingots directly to the molten steel; this method is not only costly but also results in excessive loss, as 70% to 90% of the aluminum is oxidized by oxygen in the air and slag. Using aluminum-iron alloys for the final deoxidation of steel offers significant advantages, such as reduced burn-off and higher recovery rates; furthermore, it refines grain structure and enhances impact toughness, making it an ideal choice for improving steel quality and reducing costs.
