Ferromolybdenum is an alloy of molybdenum and iron, typically containing 55% to 75% molybdenum. It has a density of approximately 9.0–9.5 g/cm³ and a melting point of about 1750–1980°C. As a key additive in the production of alloy steels, tool steels, stainless steels, and die steels, ferromolybdenum is widely used in industries such as metallurgy, construction materials, machinery, and geology.

Product Classification

Ferromolybdenum is divided into the following main grades according to molybdenum and impurity contents (in accordance with GB/T 3649-2008 Standard):

Ferromolybdenum has multiple grades classified by molybdenum and impurity contents, and its chemical composition shall comply with the requirements specified in the table below (in accordance with GB/T 3649-2008 Standard):
