Ferrotitanium is a ferroalloy containing 20% to 75% titanium; its primary constituents are titanium and iron, alongside impurities such as aluminum, silicon, carbon, sulfur, phosphorus, and manganese. Titanium has an atomic weight of 47.90, a melting point of 1667°C, a boiling point of 3285°C, and a density of 4.5 g/cm³ (at 20°C). Chemically, titanium is quite reactive and capable of forming stable compounds with oxygen, nitrogen, sulfur, and carbon.

Ferrotitanium is divided into multiple varieties according to titanium content, mainly including the following three series:
